ABOUT OUR CHAPTER

In 2013, a group of determined and like-minded individuals set out to establish the HYSA National Honor Society. The chapter has since had more than 40 members, and we are honored to carry on the legacy today.

The HYSA NHS has been an integral part of our school since its creation, bringing our shared values of service and academic excellence to the broader Herberger community. Our Chapter continues to offer opportunities for the membership to explore leadership in unique ways. In the fall of 2019, members of the chapter participated at the AZ State Summit.

We strive to represent and carry out the mission of the National Honor Society and offer HYSA students the opportunity to better the community and build meaningful relationships.

ABOUT THE NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

Since 1921, the National Honor Society has recognized high school students who have 'demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.' Today, more than one million students participate in the organization throughout North America. Its influence drives students to better themselves and their community with service projects and outreach.
